It appears that parapet will provide enough screening so that this rooftop equipment
will be adequately screened from the street.
,— i CELEBRATING
Steve IngaIsbe
1.11."444. As you can see, all the equipment has grayish color and non-reflective finish that helps it blend with
the color of wall panels, that is similar in hue and saturation.
To the question of roof color that has been touched in our phone conversation-it is white, as on the neighboring
buildings, but due-to the location on site, the roof of this building(3315 Seaway Blvd) is not visible from pedestrian/
vehicular level from any point along the roads(Seaway and 36th Ave)or from property lines and adjacent properties at a
reasonable distance. Therefore, it deems appropriate to have the equipment color close to wall finish color and not the
roof.
All equipment is factory finished light gray color, except for stainless steel vent hoods that could receive durable exterior
coating of color similar to building walls, if required. As we spoke, the biggest piece of equipment is 5'3" high DOAS unit
on 8" min. curb, which shown on the sightlines diagram along with 10' stacks of 12"to 18" dia. and located on various
spots on the roof.
Interior improvements for building B is a work in progress. Further experimental setup in other building areas may
eventually require more rooftop equipment of the similar nature. Having multiple screen enclosures will further reduce
the roof carrying capacity, which is already close to its limits, and eventually may hinder the research areas, requiring
additional HVAC equipment.
!G .
