The floor framing step is reflected in the revised floor framing plan. The
over-framed area is clarified per section 5/S1.2 at similar condition.
2. Bearing wall supports are clarified and reflected in the revised framing
plans. All non-load bearing partitions per arch. are not shown on the
structural sheets.
3. Bearing wall stud capacities are included in the supplemental
calculations.
4. Wood ledger connection to concrete stresses is governed by
perpendicular to grain bearing stresses in wood and is reflected in the
revised calculations.
5. The existing W10x26 on grid 3.2 is evaluated on sheet 6 of the original
calculations. No remedial action is required. Note this beam was originally
in service as part of an escalator support system.
6. Please review updated drawings.
7. Stamped and sealed elevator design documents are notes as deferred
per General Notes. Connection of rail support brackets to structure have
been designed using preliminary information and loads and will be
considered final when formal stamped and signed submittal has been
received and verified. Refer to supplemental calculations and revised
drawings.
8. The revised connection uses a 5 % PSL member.
9. The support beam is being designed per elevator designer/supplier.
10. The existing stair opening was cut into the floor during a 1984 remodel.
Existing hollow core planks were saw-cut, including the 12x24 CIP beam
on grid F. The severed planks and CIP beam were supported on W14x61
beams. The planks were not grouted around the perimeter cores during
construction. The abandoned stair opening is being infilled.
