INTERIM REGULATIONS. Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated as if fully <br /> set forth herein, is adopted as an interim regulation entitled"Flood Damage Prevention." <br /> Section 9. PUBLIC HEARING. Pursuant to RCW 36.70A.390, a public hearing on the interim <br /> official controls established by this Ordinance shall be held within sixty (60) days of the <br /> adoption of this Ordinance to hear and consider public comment. <br /> Section 10. EXPIRATION. The City Council adopts this interim regulation under the authority <br /> of RCW 36.70A.390. Therefore,the interim controls adopted herein shall be in effect for a <br /> period of six (6) months from the effective date of this Ordinance and shall automatically expire <br /> after a period of six months, unless extended as provided by statute or otherwise superseded by <br /> action of Council, whichever occurs first. <br /> Section 11. EFFECTIVE DATE. This Ordinance, passed by at least a majority plus one of the <br /> whole membership of the City Council as a public emergency ordinance necessary for the <br /> immediate preservation of the public peace, health,property, or safety and for the immediate <br /> support of City government and its existing public institutions, shall be effective immediately <br /> upon its adoption as provided in RCW 35.63.200. <br /> Section 12. SEVERABILITY. If any section, sentence, clause, or phrase of this ordinance should <br /> be held to be invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity or unconstitutionality <br /> shall not affect the validity or constitutionality of any other section, sentence, clause, or phrase of <br /> this ordinance. <br /> Section 13. CORRECTIONS. The City Clerk is authorized to make necessary corrections to this <br /> ordinance including, but not limited to, the correction of scrivener's/clerical errors, references, <br /> ordinance numbering, section/subsection numbers, and any references thereto. <br /> 7 <br />
