. Port of Everett
November 27, 2018
City of Everett Engineering/Permitting Services
Attn: Thad Newport
3200 Cedar Street, 2nd Floor
Everett, WA 98201
RE: Port of Everett South Marina Lift Station and Grease Interceptor project
Permit No: PW18O9-004
Comment Response Letter
Dear Mr. Newport:
Please find below our responses to the various comments we received from you on our South
Marina Lift Station and Grease Interceptor project.
• Drawing C-2, Rev. No. 1—Port Response:The grease interceptor is being removed and
replaced with a sewer pipe in Work Zone A. See the attached sheet with the note
revised to "Remove Grease Interceptor and Replace with Sewer Pipe" in Work Zone A.
• Drawing C-3, Rev. No. 1—Port Response: Please see the attached revised plan sheet C-3.
The area of pavement removal has been reduced to the area immediately surrounding
the grease interceptors and pipe trenches. A grind and overlay will be performed on the
pavement outside of these areas, which is considered maintenance and is exempt from
the 2,000 SF threshold per the City stormwater manual section 2.1.5.
• Drawing C-4—Port Response:The Moon Tree restaurant did not renew their lease, and
vacated their space at the end of September, thus the installation of a new grease
interceptor was not needed at this location. The Port acknowledges that a commercial
kitchen will not be permitted in this building following removal of the grease
interceptor. The Port is currently pursuing other non-restaurant tenants for this space.
• Drawing C-7, Rev. No. 1—Port Response: Please see the attached sheet with the
requested revision.
1205 Craftsman Way,Suite 200•Everett,WA 98201 • Phone(425)259-3164• Fax(425)252-7366
Web site:www.portofeverett.com•E-mail:gen@portofeverett.com•P.O.Box 538 • Everett,WA 98206
