. . <br /> July 3,2017 <br /> Single-Family Residence <br /> IAA Job No. 17-079 <br /> Page 2 <br /> PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br /> For our use in this investigation, you provided us with a'topographic survey and layout <br /> plan of the subject project According to this plan, the project site is consisted roughly of <br /> a gently to moderately sloped west half and a steep-sloped east half <br /> The proposed new residence is to be located on the gentle to moderate west half of the <br /> site. It is to be a two-story, above-grade, wood-framed structure to be supported on <br /> perimeter concrete foundation walls, interior bearing walls, and beams and columns. <br /> Some cut and fill will be required for grading of the building pad. <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> Our scope of services for this investigation comprises specifically the following: <br /> 1 Review the geologic and soil conditions at the site based on a published geologic <br /> map. <br /> 2. Explore subsurface (soil and groundwater) conditions of the site with backhoe test <br /> pits excavated down to a firm soil stratum or to the maximum depth(about 10 feet) <br /> capable by the backhoe used in excavating the test pits, whichever occurs first. <br /> 3. Perform necessary geotechnical analyses based on soil data encountered by test <br /> pits and provide geotechmcal recommendations from result of geotechnical <br /> analysis. <br /> 4.
