Other Hard Surfaces:
1. Full Dispersion: Not feasible due to not having 65% preserved vegetation or 100 foot
flow path.
2. Permeable Pavement: Not feasible due to concerns associated with infiltrating
directly upgradient of the proposed duplex foundation.
3. Rain Gardens/Bioretention: Not feasible as the only are that is flat enough to
construct a rain garden is directly above the proposed duplex. Infiltrating in this location is
not recommended.
4. Sheet Flow Dispersion: Feasible and selected for this project. The driveway will
sheet flow over amended soils to the west. A 2 foot wide transition zone shall be used.
5. Concentrated Flow Dispersion: Higher priority option selected.
7. SUMMARY
This project proposes to construct less than 5,000 sf of new hard surfaces. As a result, the
use and land cover for less than 5,000 sf of the site will be converted pervious to impervious
surfaces. Stormwater management techniques have been incorporated into the design.
Therefore, the stormwater design for this project has met or exceeded all of the applicable
Minimum Requirements 1-5.
Pyatak Duplex 18-0622
August2017 Page 10
