If
you line up the face of your wall with the back side of the existing water meter at the sound end, that would provide the
required clearance from the main. If you choose to pursue this route, please provide us with a revised drawing showing
the dimensions from the sidewalk, of the wall, and of the space between the two walls.
Alternatively you can expose the water main, place a 6" ductile iron or schedule 80 welded steel casing over the top of
the pipe, backfill, then you can place the rockery on top as currently shown in your drawing. Please note that any repairs
or work on the main will require the wall to be removed and/or replaced at the owner's expense. In this scenario, you
would need to notch the wall around the existing water meter(s)to keep them accessible.
Please let us know which option you would like to pursue and we will be able to process your permit.
Thanks,
Sabrina Fandler, P.E.
Associate Engineer I Permit Services
425.257.7813 13200 Cedar Street, 2"d Floor, Everett,WA 98201
Hours: Monday—Friday 7:30am-12:OOpm and 1:OOpm-4:OOpm
everettwa.gov/permits I Facebook I Twitter
Note:Emails and attachments sent to and from the City of Everett are public records and may be subject to disclosure pursuant to the Public
Records Act.
4 J
