Additional revisions or additions may be <br /> required by other departments (such as Utilities, Planning or Fire). All references refer to the <br /> (2015 International Building Code,) (2015 International Residential Code,) as amended by the <br /> State of Washington and/or Washington State Energy Code 2015 Edition, and adopted by the <br /> City of Everett, unless stated otherwise. <br /> In order for the processing of your application to continue, it will be necessary to <br /> provide the Building Division with two new complete sets of drawings reflecting the <br /> corrections requested. <br /> 1. Provide detail(s) for one-hour fire-resistant assembly between dwelling units. <br /> R3023 Two-family dwellings. Dwelling units in two-family dwellings shall be <br /> separated from each other by wall and floor assemblies having not less than a I-hour <br /> fire-resistance rating where tested in accordance with ASTM E 119 or UL 263. Fire- <br /> resistance-rated floor/ceiling and wall assemblies shall extend to and be tight against <br /> the exterior wall, and wall assemblies shall extend from the foundation to the underside <br /> of the roof sheathing. <br /> 2. Provide Smoke alarms per R314 IRC. <br /> R314.3.1 Installation near cooking appliances. Smoke alarms shall not be installed <br /> in the following locations unless this would prevent placement of a smoke alarm in a <br /> location required by Section R314.3. <br /> fd1.
