The attached 3 year contract agreement is with the Coalition for Charitable Choice. An employee volunteer committee recommended the Coalition for Charitable Choice after considering proposals from the Coalition for Charitable Choice and United Way. The Coalition for Charitable Choice will process payroll donations quarterly,providing 92%of the donation to the recipient agencies,with no more than an 8%processing fee of donations and a 0%processing fee for donations to members of the Coalition for Charitable Choice. Because of the low administrative fees charged by the Coalition for Charitable Choice, a larger proportion of employee payroll deductions will reach the organization chosen by each employee. The contract provides for reporting by the Coalition and City staff will review the reports to ensure that donations reach the intended non-profits and ensure proper oversight. RECOMMENDATION(Exact action requested of Council): Authorize the Mayor to sign a Professional Services Agreement with the Coalition for Charitable Choice to process employee payroll donations as part of the City of Everett Employees Charitable Giving Campaign. 127
