Amount Budgeted $1,000,000 Expenditure Required $185,400 Account Number(s): UP 3600-1 Budget Remaining $814,600 • Additional Required -0- DETAILED SUMMARY STATEMENT: In 2012,the"Water Filter Plant Operations Building Seismic Retrofit" project was submitted for Hazard Mitigation Grant Program(HMGP)which funds projects that reduce the adverse impacts and losses caused by natural hazard events such as earthquakes on critical assets. The subject project will ensure continued Water Filter Plant operation in the event of a major earthquake (475 year return period). The Washington State Military Department awarded the City a grant in the amount of$786,488 ($674,133 Federal and$112,355 State funds). A local match of$200,407 is required. The City went through its Consultant Roster and selected AECOM to provide the design and construction support services for the project. Total expenditure requested to provide the design and construction support services is $185,400. Budget remaining is$814,600. RECOMMENDATION: Authorize the Mayor or his Designee to sign the Professional Services Agreement with AECOM for the Design and Construction Support Services for the Water Filtration Plant Operations Building Seismic Retrofit project in the amount of$185,400. 67
