In 2012, a building assessment was completed which helped the City
identify areas of concern within the Operations Building and secure project funding through
FEMA and the State of Washington Military Department Hazard Mitigation Grant Program.
This project will include pre-design to evaluate-and prioritize problems identified in the 2012
report and develop alternatives to resolve seismic concerns. The pre-design will conclude
with a 15%design memorandum, drawings, cost estimates, and a plan for final design,
permitting, and implementation. Design will include submittals at 50%, 90%(permit phase),
and 100% (issued for construction). Bidding support and services during construction are
. included in this scope of work.
AECOM is committed to working with the City to develop the most suitable designs for
implementation. We are excited for this opportunity to submit this proposal for this important
project. Please do not hesitate to contact Carla Talich at 206.438.2125 if you have any
questions or require further information.
Best Regards,
AECOM
elf/tht 4./ta•
Carla Talich, PE Robert Ward, PE
Project Manager Senior Vice President
79
