Fiscal Year 2015 BVP funds became available earlier this year for purchase of compliant <br /> armored vests ordered on or after April 1,2015. Upon approval,the Everett Police Department will submit <br /> for funding to cover the maximum of fifty percent of the cost of 119 National Institute of Justice compliant <br /> vests over the two year grant period. The total cost of the 119 vests is$97,461.00;therefore,EPD applied <br /> for$48,730.50. <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Authorize the Mayor to sign the application for FY 2015 Bulletproof Vest Partnership award funding from <br /> the United States Department of Justice. <br /> 159 <br />
