LIE 5 <br /> June XX, 2015 • <br /> • <br /> Re: Colors of Freedom Parade • <br /> Dear Everett resident, • <br /> On Saturday,July 4, the City of Everett will host the Colors of Freedom Parade in downtown <br /> Everett.The parade will take place, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., on Colby and Wetmore avenues. Given <br /> your proximity to the event,'we want to explain the traffic plans (see map on back). <br /> To accommodate the parade, street closures and restrictions will be put in place on July 4, <br /> beginning at 6 a.m. and lasting until about 3 p.m.This includes: <br /> • Closure of Colby and Wetmore avenues, from 25th Street to Pacific Avenue, for the <br /> parade route and viewing areas. <br /> e Street closures for the parade staging area: Colby and Wetmore, from 23`d to 25th; <br /> Rockefeller, from 23rd to 26th; 24th Street, from Colby to Oakes; 25th Street, from Hoyt to <br /> Oakes; and 26th Street, from Wetmore to Rockefeller. <br /> • No on-street parking on closed streets, from 6 a.m. to the conclusion of the parade. <br /> O Vehicles parked in private facilities on closed streets will not be allowed to leave during <br /> the parade unless special arrangements are made prior to the event. <br /> Signs will be posted prior to July 4 advising motorists of the closures and restrictions. If you live <br /> or work inside area and will need to drive during the parade, please make other travel or <br /> parking arrangements. <br /> Also note that there will be street closures for other 4th of July events in downtown Everett <br /> (blue areas on map). This includes the YCMA Yankee Doodle Dash, the Everett Police Open <br /> House, and the Fun in the Sun Street Fair hosted by the First Baptist Church. <br /> We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.
