Jackson Park. The original contract price is $1,428,000 plus Washington State sales tax. <br /> On March 4,2015, City Council was briefed on change order# 1,in the total amount of$146,911.44 plus <br /> sales tax. Change order#1 authorized minor park project changes plus contractor construction of an <br /> additional rain garden requested and funded by Public Works in order to help capture surface stormwater <br /> flows from the surrounding public rights-of-way. Public Works funded $126,570.90 plus sales tax of change <br /> order#1. Change order#2, in the amount of$36,901.68 plus sales tax, was approved by Administration in <br /> April 2015 for unsuitable material removal and disposal. <br /> Change order#3, in the amount of$91,150.36 plus sales tax, increases the total dollar value of contract <br /> change orders beyond the $217,800 cumulative change order amount for this contract that can be <br /> administratively approved. This change order funds labor,trucking and offsite disposal of construction <br /> debris encountered during excavation activity,to include concrete,brick,timbers,large woody debris and <br /> various metals; cleanup and additional removal of contaminated soil encountered during installation of <br /> utilities; and stormwater system and water supply upgrades. <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Authorize the Mayor to sign Senator Henry M.
