During this period I directed the development of affordable housing; managed over 1300 units of affordable housing in Kitsap County and participated in the redevelopment plan for Bremerton. Under contracts with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, I directed the preservation of older Section 8 apartments in nine western states. • Recently attended the Land Use and Environmental Law Seminar sponsored by the Washington State Bar Association • Everett Planning Commission— 1992 —2000 Served as a member of the Commission and assisted in the development of the Everett Comprehensive Plan under the State Growth Management Act. Presided over meetings as Chairman and Vice-Chairman. I gained knowledge of the public process and importance of balancing economic growth and overall livability of our City. • Vice President and Manger of Charter Title Provided title and escrow services for Snohomish County residents and businesses. • Vice President of First Western Development Company, Lynnwood, WA Actively involved in the development and financing of shopping centers, office buildings and special use properties. This experience provided a perspective from the development side of the need to implement policies and zoning that facilitates good development. • Served as a senior officer in northwest banks specializing in real estate construction and finance. I directed the financing of numerous residential subdivisions, commercial buildings including shopping centers, hotels and mixed use buildings.
