TULALIP TRIBES <br /> ORIGINAL DOCUMEN <br /> THE TULALIP TRIBES OF WASHINGTON <br /> RESOLUTION ZU`L,O — <br /> Amendment to extend Joint Operating Agreement Water Supply Contract to July 1 , 2021 <br /> WHEREAS the Board of Directors is the governing body of the Tulalip Tribes under the <br /> Constitution and Bylaws of the Tribe approved by the United States Commissioner of Indian <br /> Affairs and the Secretary of the Interior on January 24, 1936, pursuant to the Act of June 18, <br /> 1934 (48 Stat. 984, 25 U.S.C. §476); <br /> WHEREAS, the Tulalip Board of Directors under Article VI, Section 1 of the Tribal <br /> Constitution desire to safeguard and promote the communities peace, safety and general welfare; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the Tulalip Tribes have a Joint Operating Agreement ( JOA) between the City of <br /> Everett, and the City of Marysville, Public Utility District No. 1 of Snohomish County, and <br /> WHEREAS, the Tulalip Tribes recognize the benefits the current JOA Contract which expires <br /> on Julyl, 2020 ; <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Directors of the Tulalip Tribes of <br /> Washington hereby approve Amendment 1 of the Everett JOA Water Supply Contract extending <br /> the contract for one calendar year ending July 21 2021, with other terms and conditions of the <br /> contract remaining the same. <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board of Directors of the <br /> Tulalip Tribes of Washington hereby approves this resolution and further authorizes the Chair, <br /> or the Vice-Chair on their behalf to sign the Amendment Number 1 to the Everett Joint <br /> Operating Agreement to extend the contract to July 1, 2021. <br /> ADOPTED by the Board of Directors of the Tulalip Tribes of Washington at a regular board <br /> meeting assembled on the _ day of J0 f e , 207U , with a quorum <br /> present, by a vote of S For, O Against, and O Abstain. <br /> TIIF ULALIP TRI OF 'ASHINGTON <br /> ATTES Teri Gobin , Chair <br /> /74 Lecei%_. <br /> \.1 Secretary <br /> Page 1 of 1 <br /> Page 440 of 671 <br />
