ORDINANCE NO. o3 , <br /> AN ORDINANCE MAKING IT UNLAWFUL FOR ANY PERSON TO MISTREAT, <br /> INJURE, KILL OR MOLEST ANY POLICE DOG OR TO INTERFERE WITH <br /> THE FUNCTIONS OF SUCH POLICE DOGS AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY <br /> TO EXIST. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN : <br /> Section 1 : It shall be unlawful for any person to <br /> willfully or maliciously torture, torment, beat, kick, strike, <br /> mutilate, injure, disable or kill any dog used by the Police <br /> Department of the City of Everett, in the performance of the <br /> functions or duties of such department or to interfere with or <br /> meddle with any such dog while being used by said department <br /> or any officer or member. <br /> Section 2 : The requirements of this Ordinance shall <br /> be in addition to all other ordinances regulating and licens- <br /> ing dogs. <br /> Section 3 : Any person convicted of violating any pro- <br /> vision of this Ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misde- <br /> meanor, and punished by a fine of not more than One Hundred <br /> and 00/100 ($100.00) Dollars, or imprisonment for a term not <br /> exceeding thirty (30) days, or both such fine and imprison- <br /> ment. <br /> Section 4: That an emergency is hereby declared to <br /> exist and this Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage <br /> and publication. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Attest: <br /> Passed: AUG 11 1964 <br /> Published: AUG 1'2 1964 <br />
