ORDINANCE NO. <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 6.36, EVERETT CITY CODE, BEING <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 18, BY AMENDING SECTION I AND II THEREOF, DEALING <br /> WITH THE CRIME OF OBSCENITY AND PROHIBITING THE SELLING OR <br /> DISTRIBUTING OR SHOWING OF OBSCENE LITERATURE AND SHOWS AND PROVID- <br /> ING PENALTIES THEREFORE . <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN : <br /> Section I : That Section 6.36. 010, Everett City Code, <br /> is amended to read as follows : <br /> 6.36. 010. Selling, Distributing Obscene Literature, <br /> Obscene Shows , Unlawful . <br /> A. Every person who having knowledge of the contents <br /> thereof shall exhibit, sell , distribute, display for <br /> sale or distribution, or having knowledge of the <br /> contents thereof shall have in his possession with <br /> the intent to sell or distribute any book, magazine, <br /> pamphlet, comic book, newspaper, writing, photograph, <br /> motion picture film, phonograph record, tape or wire <br /> recording, picture, drawing, figure, image, or any <br /> object or thing which is obscene; or <br /> B. Every person who having knowledge of the contents <br /> thereof shall cause to be performed or exhibited, or <br /> shall engage in the performance or exhibition of any <br /> show, act, play, dance or motion picture which is <br /> obscene; <br /> shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be punishable as <br /> hereinafter set forth. <br /> 6.36.020. Violations Penalty.
