• <br /> July 1, 2020 <br /> President Tuohy announced that the Council is still abiding by Governor Inslee's <br /> Safe Start guidelines, and as a result, City Council meetings will continue to be held <br /> remotely with all meetings scheduled at 12:30 p.m. each Wednesday, except the <br /> first Wednesday of the month when the meeting is scheduled at 6:30 p.m. Citizens <br /> are encouraged to call or email public comments prior to the meeting. To speak <br /> under Public Comment during the meeting, calls are accepted one-half hour <br /> before the start of the meeting by calling 1.425.616.3920, Conference ID 107 579 <br /> 986#. Citizens may call in to listen to the Council meetings at 1.425.616.3920, <br /> Conference ID: 724 887 726#, and meetings can be viewed on Everett Channel or <br /> on the City website. <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:33 p.m., <br /> July 1, 2020, Council President Tuohy presiding. Upon roll call, it was found that <br /> Mayor Franklin and Council Members Roberts, Murphy, Vogeli, Bader, <br /> Stonecipher, and Tuohy were present. Council Member Moore was excused. <br /> The minutes of the June 24, 2020, City Council meeting were approved as printed. <br /> President Tuohy abstained from the vote. • <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Franklin stated that the Snohomish County Prosecutor's office received a <br /> $1.68 million grant to implement a Law Enforcement Assisted Diversion (LEAD) <br /> program in Everett and Lynnwood, which will provide dollars to hire additional <br /> social workers that will provide long-term support for low level, repeat offenders. <br /> Mayor Franklin also reminded citizens to adhere to the recommended health <br /> guidelines as an increase in COVID-19 cases was reported in Snohomish County <br /> over the last week.She advised citizens to continue to stay socially distant,to wear <br /> face masks, and to wash hands. <br /> Mayor Franklin also wished everyone a happy and safe 4th of July weekend. <br /> • <br /> 192 <br />
