ORDINANCE NO. � f7 AN ORDINANCE fixing and determining the number, designa- tion, and compensation of the various officers, assistants, deputies, and employees of the City of Everett; prescribing their duties; providing for medical services; repealing Ordinance No. 3922 of the City of Everett and repealing Chapter 1 .16 and Chapter 1 .24, City Code of the City of Everett, and establishing code numbers; and declaring this ordinance shall take effect on IJanuary 1, 1964. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: That beginning January 1, 1964, the number, designation and compensation and duties of the officers, assist- I ants, deputies and employees of the City of Everett shall be as in this ordinance, provided, except as otherwise fixed by charter. (1 .16.010) Section 2 : CITY ATTORNEY DEPARTMENT The number, designation and compensation of employees ? in the City Attorney's office shall be as hereinafter set forth . The employees in the City Attorney's Office shall be under the direction of the City Attorney and shall perform such duties as he shall direct . 1 City Attorney $700.00 per month 1 Special City Attorney 345 .00 per month 1 Stenographer, PT 250.00 per month (1.16.020) Section 3: CITY HALL DEPARTMENT The number, designation and compensation of employees in the City Hall Department shall be as hereinafter set forth . The employees in the City Hall Department shall be under the direction of the Mayor and shall perform such duties as he shall direct . 2 Janitors R2 9.1 * $J75 .004419.00 per mo. Day Laborers $2 .22 per hour * Incumbent (1 .16.030) Section 4: CITY CLERK DEPARTMENT The number, designation and compensation of employees in the City Clerk Department shall be as hereinafter set forth . It shall be the duty of such officers, deputies and assistants to perform the duties pertaining to the office and as directed by the City Clerk or the Commissioner of Finance .
