ORDINANCE NO. 3966 <br /> AN ORDINANCE providing for the improvement of: <br /> FIRST AVENUE, from approximately 251 feet north of <br /> Calvin Avenue to approximately 500 feet north <br /> of the north line of McGill Avenue; <br /> SECOND AVENUE, from McGill Avenue to a point 150 feet <br /> south of Marilyn Avenue; <br /> MARILYN AVENUE, from Evergreen Way to 2nd Avenue and; <br /> McGILL AVENUE, from Evergreen Way to 2nd Avenue by the <br /> construction of 6" cast iron water mains, fire <br /> hydrants with necessary appurtenances and doing <br /> such other work as may be necessary to make a <br /> 4 complete improvement; also; <br /> 1INTERCITY AVENUE, from Evergreen Way to Pacific State <br /> Highway No. 1 (Broadway Cut-off) by the con- <br /> , <br /> ;E struction of an 8" cast iron water main, fire <br /> hydrants and necessary appurtenances and doing <br /> such other work as may be necessary to make a <br /> complete improvement, all in accordance with <br /> plans to be prepared by the City Engineer, all <br /> : in accordance with Resolution No. 6961 of the City of Everett, <br /> creating a Local Improvement District; creating a Local Improvement <br /> District fund therefor; and providing for the payment of said <br /> improvement by special assessments on the property in said district <br /> • under the mode of payment by bonds, and by contribution by the <br /> City of Everett. <br /> WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 6961 the City of Everett, <br /> ; The City Council has declared its intention to order the improve- <br /> ment as above outlined and doing all work in connection therewith . <br /> to make a complete improvement in accordance with the plans and <br /> specifications of the City Engineer of the City of Everett; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That an improvement be made of: <br /> FIRST AVENUE, from approximately 251 feet north of <br /> Calvin Avenue to approximately 500 feet north of <br /> the north line of McGill Avenue; <br /> SECOND AVENUE, from McGill Avenue to a point 150 feet • <br /> south of Marilyn Avenue; <br /> MARILYN AVENUE, from Evergreen Way to 2nd Avenue and; <br /> McGILL AVENUE, from Evergreen Way to 2nd Avenue by the <br /> construction of 6" cast iron water mains, fire <br /> hydrants with necessary appurtenances and doing <br /> such other work as may be necessary to make a <br /> complete improvement, also; <br /> INTERCITY AVENUE, from Evergreen Way to Pacific State <br /> Highway No. 1 (Broadway Cut-off) by the construction <br /> of an " cast iron water main, fire hydrants and <br /> necessary appurtenances and doing such other work as <br /> may be necessary to make a complete improvement, <br /> all in accordance with plans to be prepared by the <br /> City Engineer, which plans and specifications are <br /> hereby adopted and approved. <br /> Section 2: That the cost and expenses of the improve- ; <br /> 'ment, including all necessary incidental expenses, shall be borne <br /> by and assessed against the property included in the assessment <br /> ;district herein created as follows : <br /> The City of Everett will construct an 8" cast iron water <br /> ;main in Intercity Avenue at a cost to the assessment district <br /> equivalent to a 6" cast iron water main. The City will pay the <br /> difference in cost between a 6" and 8" water main. On all other <br /> p treets in the District the City will construct 6" water mains . <br /> , Credit will be given for the cost of the existing 2" water mains , <br />
