1. Project Overview <br />The Evergreen Branch Library Expansion is located at 9512 Evergreen Way, in Everett, WA. The existing <br />Everett Fire Department Station No. 6 and Evergreen Branch Library currently occupy the property totaling <br />approximately 2.68 acres (Figure 1-1). The project includes a 5,200-square-foot, one-story expansion to the <br />northwest face of the library, a surface parking lot expansion to the southwest, a grind and overlay to the <br />existing parking lot, and frontage sidewalk improvements on Evergreen Way. To accomplish this, a Filterra unit <br />and bioretention cell will filter polluted runoff and an 8-foot diameter detention tank will detain flows to meet the <br />minimum requirements. The primary discharge from the detention tank to the shallow city storm system in <br />Evergreen Way will be pumped while overflows will reach the Evergreen Way storm system via gravity. Flow <br />control, water quality, conveyance, and pump station details are included in subsequent sections of this report. <br />2. Existing Conditions <br />TOPOGRAPHY <br />The topography of the existing site slopes to the southeast at approximately five to eight percent with an <br />overall elevation change of approximately 10 feet.
