City of Everett 01 2213 - 4 <br /> 2020 Trickling Filter Media Replacement UP 3742-2 <br /> B. Item #2 - TF DOME REMOVAL AND REINSTALLATION (Lump Sum) <br /> 1. The lump sum price for Trickling Filter Dome Removal and Reinstallation <br /> shall be full compensation for all labor, tools, equipment and materials <br /> necessary for removal and replacement of the existing Trickling Filter <br /> aluminum dome in order to gain access for the replacement of the <br /> Trickling Filter Media. This Work shall include, but not be limited to, <br /> providing an approved Pick and Storage plan and the disconnection <br /> and/or removal of all items and appurtenances attached to the dome <br /> which are necessary for the safe removal of the dome structure, including <br /> items such as attachment points and supports, air piping and associated <br /> bracketry, and small electrical conduits. Work under this item shall also <br /> include all equipment and materials required to successfully remove, store <br /> and reinstall the dome structure to the fully functioning condition the <br /> complete dome structure was in prior to removal. <br /> C. Item #3 - TF EXISTING MEDIA/GRATING REMOVAL AND TF CLEANING <br /> (Lump Sum) <br /> 1. The lump sum price for Trickling Filter Existing Media/Grating Removal <br /> and Trickling Filter Cleaning shall be full compensation for all labor, tools, <br /> equipment and materials necessary for the removal of the existing <br /> Trickling Filter media and media support grating systems within the <br /> existing structure. This Work shall include, but not be limited to, the <br /> disconnection, removal and storage of portions of the rotating distributor <br /> assembly to provide access for the removal of the trickling filter media, <br /> removal and proper disposal of the protective walking surface on the top <br /> of the media, complete removal and proper disposal of the of the existing <br /> media and all associated materials, and the disconnection and removal <br /> and disposal of the existing media support grating including associated <br /> hardware and materials. Work under this item shall also include all labor, <br /> tools, equipment and materials necessary for the complete cleaning of all <br /> surfaces within the interior of the trickling filter structure such as the walls, <br /> floors, center column, media support columns and drainage troughs. <br /> Cleaning shall include all work to completely clean and dry the structure in <br /> order for any coating repair work to occur properly. Cleaning shall also <br /> include removal off all hardware and material necessary to facilitate the <br /> installation of the new Trickling Filter media grating system. <br /> D. Item #4 - REPAIR OF COATINGS AND CONCRETE (Unit Price) <br /> 1. The unit price for Repair of Coatings and Concrete shall be full <br /> compensation for all labor, tools, equipment and materials necessary for <br /> the preparation of the concrete surfaces for concrete repairs and the <br /> application of the approved coatings in accordance with the Project <br /> Specifications.
