City of Everett 00 41 13-2 <br /> Fire Administration Building Tenant Improvements (Rev. A)18-1080 <br /> 2. OVERHEAD AND PROFIT <br /> "Base Bid" includes overhead, profit, performance and payment bonds, and all other expenses <br /> involved whatsoever. <br /> 3. TIME FOR COMPLETION <br /> Undersigned hereby agrees to begin work immediately after receiving Owner's letter of Notice to <br /> Proceed and to reach Substantial Completion within the dates required under the Contract <br /> Documents. In the event the project is not completed on or before required time periods, Bidder <br /> shall pay liquidated damages to the City as stated in the Contract(Section 005213). <br /> 4. The undersigned, as Bidder, declares that it will contract with the Owner using the Contract <br /> form provided herewith, on the terms and conditions contained herein, to do everything <br /> necessary for construction of the project complete. <br /> 5. Undersigned agrees that the following shall form a part of this Bid: Bid Form and all <br /> supplemental submittals provided at the direction of the Owner or Owner's Representative. <br /> 6. Attached is a bid bond, by a guaranty company authorized to carry on business in the state <br /> of Washington, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total amount of the "Base Bid" or, <br /> alternately, there is attached a certified or cashier's check payable to the City of Everett <br /> drawn upon a bank in the state of Washington, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the <br /> total amount of the"Base Bid". If this Proposal shall be accepted by the City of Everett, <br /> Washington, and the undersigned shall fail to execute a satisfactory contract and bond as <br /> stated in the Instructions to Bidders, hereto attached, within fourteen (14) calendar days <br /> after the award date, then the City may, at its option, determine that the undersigned has <br /> abandoned the Contract and thereupon this Contract shall be null and void, and the <br /> amount of the bid bond or certified check accompanying this Bid shall be forfeited and <br /> become the property of the City of Everett, Washington. <br /> 7. Undersigned agrees that the Bid constitutes an offer to the Owner which shall be binding <br /> for 60 days from the date of opening of Bids. If Bid is accepted, undersigned agrees to <br /> sign the required agreement form and to furnish the Payment and Performance Bond on <br /> the form contained herein and evidences of insurance required herein within fourteen (14) <br /> days of receipt from the Owner of properly prepared Contract forms. <br /> 8. Undersigned certifies that, at the time of submitting this Bid and throughout the period of <br /> the contract, it will remain licensed by the state of Washington to perform the type of work <br /> required under the Contract Documents. Undersigned further certifies that it is skilled and <br /> regularly engaged in the general class and type of work required by the Contract <br /> Documents and has the capability to successfully manage construction projects. <br /> Undersigned agrees to provide upon request of the Owner all information related to its <br /> qualifications and those of its key personnel and its proposed Subcontractors. <br /> 9. The cost of a 100-percent Performance and Payment Bond, which shall include sales tax, <br /> is included in the Bid. <br /> 10. Undersigned further agrees that, if the Bid is accepted and a Contract is awarded by the <br /> Owner, it will plan and execute the work with such diligence that the work and portions <br /> thereof are complete and ready for use in accordance with all specified time tables. <br /> 11.
