Sheet A0.4 shows folding wall panels in the north wall of Room 100. It is understood from <br /> discussion with the architect that these panels do not exist and that a solid wall is present at <br /> this location. The drawings should be revised. See IBC Section 107.2.1. <br /> 2. Sheets A0.4 and A0.5 list specify multiple locations as.Room 102. The room numbers <br /> should be revised as needed. See IBC Section 107.2.1. <br /> Egress: <br /> 3. Room 103 has an occupant load of 70 per Sheet A0.4. The following comments shall be <br /> addressed: <br /> a. The room shall be provided with exit signs at each door. In addition, exit signs shall be <br /> provided along the exit access (i.e., hallways), including intervening doors. Direction <br /> arrows shall be provided where required. Additional signs shall be provided where the <br /> path of egress travel is not visible(e.g., hallway corners, etc.). See IBC Section 1013.1. <br /> b. Means of egress illumination shall be provided in the room and in the hallways leading <br /> to the exits. See IBC Section 1008.3.1. The lighting shall require an emergency power <br /> supply per IBC Section 1008.3.4. <br /> c. The exterior landings for exit doors serving the room shall be provided with emergency <br /> lighting. The lighting shall require an emergency power supply per IBC Section <br /> 1008.3.4. See IBC Sections 1008.3.2 Item 5 and 1010.1.6. <br /> d. The occupant load shall be posted near the main exit per IBC Section 1004.3. <br /> e. The doors shall be provided with panic hardware per IBC Section 1010.1.10. Note that <br /> the doors do not appear to be included in the Door Schedule on Sheet A7.1. <br /> f. Continuing with the previous comment, all doors in the exit access shall similarly be <br /> provided with panic hardware. See Section 202 for the definition of the exit access. <br /> 4. Sheet A0.4 shows an occupant load of 11 for the revised office space in Room 102. Based <br /> on the area and the number of proposed work stations, the load should be at least 12. See <br /> IBC Table 1004.1.2 and Section 1004.2. <br /> 5. Sheet A0.5 shows an occupant load of 6 for the revised office space in Room 300. Based on <br /> the area and the number of proposed work stations, the load should be at least 8. See IBC <br /> Section 1004.2. <br /> Accessibility: <br /> 6. The project involves Level 2 Alterations to the building per IEBC Chapter 8. Accessibility <br /> improvements per IEBC Section 705.2 shall be included in the project. Where the building <br /> is made to be less than fully-accessible per one of the exceptions, documentation <br /> substantiating the limited accessibility improvements shall be submitted for review.
