I am trying to finish up
my review of the proposal and I need some additional details about the proposed height of the structure.
The maximum height allowed is 28'—measured from the average base elevation to the peak of the roof. Height
calculations are not specified on the site plan or elevation plan sheets as required by the building height handout. Note:
the site plan indicates points A-D around the structure but doesn't actually specify what those elevation points are, nor
includes a benchmark elevation point. Sheet A09 notes "average grade"and "allowable height"but also does not specify
specific elevation numbers.
Please revise the site plan and sheets A09 and A10 to clearly identify the height calculations per the building height
handout.A benchmark and its elevation must also be clearly identified on the site plan. If it proves more convenient,
you are welcome to stop by the Permit Services counter to redline this information (to scale) on the plans,or you can
provide new sheets. If the proposed height is within 1 foot of the maximum allowed, a base elevation survey is required
now prior to permit issuance and a height survey will be required at time of framing—if needed, both forms are included
in the building height handout linked above.
If you have any questions, please let me know and I'm happy to be of assistance.
Thanks,
CELEBRATING Kelsey Heyd
1 Assistant Planner Community, Planning& Economic Development
AA►► '
YEARS 425.257.7275 1 3200 Cedar Street, 2nd Floor, Everett,WA 98201
A story worth telling everettwa.gov/planning 1 Facebook 1 Twitter
Note:Emails and attachments sent to and from the City of Everett are public records and may be subject to disclosure pursuant to the Public
Records Act.
1
