EVERETT <br /> WASHINGTON <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 7547 <br /> A RESOLUTION concerning <br /> 2020 Community Development Block Grant Annual Action <br /> Plan and allocations of CDBG, HOME and 2060 Housing Trust <br /> Funds and adoption of the 2020-2024 Consolidated Plan <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Everett recognized the need for certain housing and <br /> community development programs in Everett; and <br /> WHEREAS, Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds have been made available through the <br /> United States Department of Housing and Urban Development to provide for those programs, and Everett is <br /> to receive $907,957; and <br /> WHEREAS,through Interlocal agreements, the City of Everett will receive HOME funds and 2060 <br /> Housing Trust funds from Snohomish County this year; and. <br /> WHEREAS, the Citizens Advisory Committee for Housing and Community Development has <br /> studied the housing and community development needs and priorities for Everett and has made its <br /> recommendations for CDBG funds, HOME funds, and 2060 Housing Trust funds, and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Everett has reviewed the recommendations from the <br /> above committee; and <br /> WHEREAS, the 2020 to 2024 Consolidated Plan and 2020 Annual Action Plan has been written <br /> in cooperation with the Everett Housing Authority, Snohomish County Housing Authority, Snohomish <br /> County, the City of Marysville and local non-profit service providers; <br /> WHEREAS,the City Council has reviewed the recommendations from the CAC; and <br /> NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVERETT THAT: <br /> 1. Programs and Projects to be funded with CDBG Funds: <br /> Public Service Program (Priority) Funding Level <br /> ARC: Independent Living (Housing Security) $17,000.00 <br /> Case management housing support for disabled individuals and their families <br /> Snohomish County Legal Services: Housing Justice Project (Housing Security) $15,000.00 <br /> Homeless prevention by providing legal services to low-income tenants facing <br /> eviction <br /> Workforce Snohomish: Carnegie Mental Health Services (Mental Health) $10,000.00 <br />
