The HDU8 holdowns were used for the pony wall condition. <br />The contractor has chosen to pour the foundation up to meet the floor framing <br />and since the STHD 14R3 can be imbedded directly into the concrete they are <br />of sufficient capacity to replace the HDU8. <br />This is based on a conversation I had with the project engineer, Mike Mitchell <br />this morning, and he approves the STHD 14RJ replacement of the HDU8. <br />Sincerely, <br />James A.
