9
THELANDDEVELOPEWS
ENGINEERED SOLUTION
a division or THE LAND DEVELOPER, LLC
• BECAUSE RESULTS MATTER -
November 30, 2017
Burman Nancianne
706 View Ridge Drive
Everett, WA 98203
Re: Existing Residence Structural Inspection --00
Site Address: 706 View Ridge Drive, Everett, WA 98203
Dear Mr. Nancianne:
Pe'r-Air El W ®I3
Per your request I have performed a site visit on November 21, 2017 to inspect the above referenced roof framing
structure located on the eastern portion of the house. This appeared to be an area of the existing structure that had a
new roof and ceiling framing added to the existing walls. The purpose of this inspection was to determine the
structural integrity of the existing roof rafters and ceiling joists as it currently exists_
OBSERVATIONS
Upon inspection of the above referenced structure I have made the following observations. The total opening width is
approximately 24'. The roof rafters appear to 2x8 rafters sistered onto existing 2x6 rafters at 247 on center. The
ceiling joists appear to be 2x10's at 24" oc.
CONCLUSION
In my opinion the rafters and ceiling joists need to be tied together per the attached detail to create a site built truss.
In doing so the roof framing system will comply with IBC 2015. The ridge line should be blocked with 2x8 continuous
blocking.
Once again, thank you for the opportunity to work with you on this project. Please feel free to give me a call if you
have any questions.
Sincerely,
The Land Developer, LLC
Erik B.
