MEDIC TRAINING APARTMENT INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT <br /> (EAST JEFFERSON FIRE RESCUE) <br /> This Medic Training Apartment Interlocal Agreement(this "Agreement") is <br /> entered into as of July 20 , 2020, by and between the CITY OF EVERETT <br /> ("Everett") and EAST JEFFERSON FIRE RESCUE("User"). <br /> RECITALS <br /> A. Everett has rented an apartment at 600 Ninth Ave Apartments, located at <br /> 600 9th Ave, Seattle, WA 98104, under a lease contract for August 1, 2020 until July 31, <br /> 2020. In this Agreement, the lease contract is called the "Lease,"the time period during <br /> which the Lease is in effect is called the Lease Term,"the apartment under the Lease is <br /> called the "Apartment,"and the landlord under the Lease is called the "Landlord." <br /> B. The purpose of the rental of the Apartment is to provide a temporary <br /> residence for student paramedics during a paramedic training program. User and Everett <br /> have agreed that one User paramedic may use the Apartment during the Lease Term, as <br /> set forth in this Agreement. <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> For good and valuable consideration,the receipt and sufficiency of which is <br /> acknowledged, the parties agree as follows: <br /> 1. Use of Apartment. One User student paramedic may use the Apartment <br /> for the Lease Term. This includes one bed space. This does not include a parking space. <br /> A single parking space will be shared by all occupants of the Apartment. <br /> 2. Payment to Everett. User's share of Lease expenses will be 1/4 of all <br /> monthly rent and all other costs under the Lease for the Lease Term. Everett will invoice <br /> User monthly, and User will pay Everett within 30 days after receiving each invoice. As <br /> consideration for the use of the Apartment, User agrees to pay such rent and costs for the <br /> entire Lease Term, regardless of whether any User's paramedic student uses the <br /> Apartment or completes his or her training program. <br /> 3. Right to Remove. Everett reserves the right remove any student <br /> paramedic from the Apartment for any reason. The Everett Fire Chief and the User Fire <br /> Chief will confer about the situation before Everett exercises this right. <br /> 4. Use Requirements. User and its student paramedic will comply with the <br /> Lease and the rules and regulations required by the Landlord. User and its student <br /> paramedic shall not permit any waste to the Apartment or engage in any activity that is <br /> unlawful or that constitutes a nuisance or that disturbs the quiet enjoyment of the <br /> Apartment or the Apartment building/neighborhood. Everett shall have no responsibility <br /> for the safety and/or security of any paramedic student or other person using the <br /> 1 <br />
