• <br /> March 4, 2020 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 p.m., <br /> March 4, 2020, in the City Council Chambers of the William E. Moore Historic City <br /> Hall, Council Member Stonecipher presiding. Upon roll call, it was found that <br /> Mayor Franklin and Council Members Roberts, Moore, Murphy,Vogeli, Bader, and <br /> Stonecipher were present. Council President Tuohy was excused. <br /> Council Member Moore led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the February 19, 2020, City Council meeting were approved as <br /> printed. Council Member Moore abstained from the vote. <br /> The minutes of the February 26, 2020, City Council retreat were approved as <br /> printed. Council Member Moore abstained from the vote. <br /> MAYOR <br /> • <br /> Mayor Franklin provided an update on the City's response to COVID-19 (Novel <br /> Coronavirus). She stated this evening she would be asking for a three-step <br /> approach, beginning with an emergency ordinance relating to the Mayor's <br /> emergency authority, a resolution declaring an emergency waiving competitive <br /> bidding requirements, and a Mayoral proclamation of Civil Emergency. <br /> Fire Chief Dave DeMarco provided an update on the Fire Department's response <br /> to COVID-19. <br /> Moved by Council Member Vogeli, seconded by Council Member Roberts, to <br /> adopt the following emergency ordinance: <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE relating to Civil Emergencies, amending <br /> Section 1 of Ordinance 43-69 <br /> The City Clerk is directed to call the roll for the disposition of the ordinance. <br /> r <br /> 61 <br />
