Carried unetimasly. <br /> Moved by Edwards,seconded by Spencer,that Council adopt <br /> Resolution oo.4233 as follows:"RESOLUTION NO.4233 <br /> WHEREAS thereare at present about eeventy-five places <br /> in the City of Everett where beer and wine may be purchased by the glass fir <br /> consumption on the premises,in addition to many planes where snob e0®ter Ofe <br /> be purchased for consumption off the premises,and that large a number of <br /> drinking places is not for the best interests of civic welfare, <br /> THEREFORE HE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br /> Everett that it directs that no approval be given for the establishment of any <br /> new or additional tavern,bear or wine parlor,or place where beer and or wine I f. <br /> may a purchased by Cthe ity ass for consumption rn on the premises,an that seid <br /> City Council of the City of Everett hereby requests the Washington State Liquor <br /> Control Board not to issue any new or additional licenses for such places in the <br /> City of Everett,end <br /> FURTHER that o if any such place as now exists discontinues business <br /> that no new license for such purpose be issued replacing any discontinued lfoense, <br /> and that the policy of not Lssueing newor replacing licensee be continued until the I <br /> total number of taverna,beer and wine parlors,or places where beer and wine I <br /> y be purchased <br /> rchased by the`lass for non ption on the premises be reduced t total <br /> 01 no exceeding fifty o such establishments." <br /> Carried unanimously: <br /> Moved by Spencer,seconded by Edwards,that a resolution be <br /> prepared re P.W.A.method of Federal Grants Carried unanln ouely <br /> On motion the Council adjourned at 10-35 em. ,� <br /> h /,"7--‘4w"4 City Clerk.
