• <br /> • <br /> appeal shall be heard or determined by the city council at the <br /> administrative session next following that upon which the appeal is <br /> received. The hearing may, however, be continued by the city council from <br /> time to time. The suspension or revocation of a permit shall give the <br /> permittee no right to a refund of any unearned portion of the fee paid. <br /> Any notice provided for in this ordinance shall be served either (1) by <br /> delivering a copy personally upon the permittee, or (2) by leaving a copy <br /> with some person of suitable age and discretion at the place of business of <br /> the permittee, or if no person may be found at the place of business of the <br /> permittee, by leaving such order in a conspicuous place on the premises and <br /> mailing a copy of the notice to the permittee at his place of business as <br /> set forth in his application for a permit. <br /> Section 22. MEAT WORKERS HEALTH PERMIT. <br /> All persons handling meat or meat products shall be in possession of a <br /> valid food and beverage service workers permit as required by Rules and <br /> Regulations of the Washington State Board of Health, Book 2 Chapter 9, <br /> adopted January 3, 1958, governing requirements for food and beverage <br /> service workers. Such permit may be issued by the Snohomish Health <br /> District and all applicants for such permit or renewal thereof, shall pay <br /> to such examining department a fee in the sum of two ($2.00) dollars to <br /> defray the expenses arising out of administration of said state regulations. <br /> Section 23. REPEAL OF CERTAIN ORDINANCES. <br /> That the following ordinances and parts of ordinances as well as all other <br /> ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be, and the same <br /> are hereby repealed: That is to say, Ordinance No. 2730 passed the City <br /> Council June 15, 1937 and Ordinance No. 2766 passed the city council <br /> February 23, 1938. <br /> Section 24+. VALIDITY OF ORDINANCE. <br /> If any section, sub-section, sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance <br /> is declared or adjudged by a Court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid <br /> or unconstitutional, such adjudication shall in no manner affect the <br /> remaining portions of this ordinance, which shall be in full force and <br /> effect as if said section, sub-section, sentence, clause or phrase so <br /> declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a <br /> part thereof. <br /> Section 25. PENALTY. <br /> Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be <br /> deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be <br /> punished by a fine in any sum not exceeding Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00) <br /> or imprisonment in the city jail for a period of ninety (90) days or both <br /> such fine and imprisonment. <br /> Section 26. EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> This ordinance shall take effect and be in force thirty (30) days from <br /> and after its passage. <br />
