Moved by Councarann T,angus,seconded by Councilman Callaghan to approve the minutes as printed of the meeting held October 14,1970. , Unanimously Carried. • BUS SHELTER Mr.Jack Thompson appeared,requesting constrilction of a bus shelter , " at Baker Heights. He said he had talked to Mr.Evans,TranSit anager twice and also to Mr.Eastman regarding the cOnStructiOn of a shelter but had not reCeived any satisfactiOn. He Said h. He said even though HUD has agreed to buy the bonds,they are requesting that an official call for bids he made anyway. - INANE Councilman Dobler seconded by Councilman Michelson to call for bids for the sale of Series ..d Series 3B.bonds under L/D 690. Bids to be opened November 12,197U. Unanimously Carried. STAIRWAY PERMIT Bruce Jones,City Attorney,said the Monte Cristo Hotel was reqUesting a permit to construct a stairway on City property at wou/d go down to th6 basement giving an outside entrance-te the basement at this point. He said under the Ordinance,all stairway Perr,ts mast he aPproved by the Council. Moved by councilman Dobler,seconded by Councilman Michelson to issue Monte Cristo Hotel a permit for the construction of a stairway at 2931 Hoyt,subject to restoration of the property . . if requested by the City and that they would indemnify the City in case of loss or damage. ' Unanimously Carried. OLD BUSINESS COUNCIL BILL NO.101-70 1,iri and fnlal reading. ,Un2grb;"T=N,'7,;°n2 Councilman Moore said that before this council bill was acted on he would like to make a statement. He said there had been an article in the paper which said that he bhd favored Dr.Brust. He said actua/ly he had no feelings one way or anotheraboutiOr. Brust,but he was opposing the Planning Commission in this matter. He said the situation that had brought it to a head was in regard to the parking lot Dr.Brust had opened adjacent to the Telephone Company parking lot. Ne said Dr.Brust had nad permission from 4%
