COUNCIL MINUTES May 26,1971 Councilman pobler sald he felt that anything the,'allowed to ne put-into aezone,whether it-be'one tYpe of business or another type of business,the City-owed them protection and he felt that an apartment house was a business to the owner of-the apartment house. He said he felt it would be a terrific problem to police a noise control ordinance. He said who wotld decide how loud was”lood.,and that the loudness could be toned up or down at just a small turn of a button. He thought perhaps the way this should be looked into would be as far as the zone was concerned,possibly a Cabaret type license was no,comPatibie to another tne of business although the,' were both allowed in the same zone. Maybe there should be a distance between certain businenses;maybe this is the way it should be controlled. He felt possibly this should be referred to the Planning Commission to look into it. He said he understood that they were looking into amending the ordinance now and maybe they could check into this at the same time. LOAN LICENSE Moved by Councilman Lang.,seconded by Councilman gebert to approve the 1971 Loan Company License for Household AcceptanCe Corporation of Washington at 1618 Hewitt and 1114 So.Broadway. Unanimously Carried. LICENSE Moved by Councilman Longue,seconded by Councilman Gebert to approve FireWorks Stand Permit for Laneiallen Du Sae,1502 So.Broadway. Unanimously Carried. B/D CALL Moved by Councilman Dobler,seconded by Councilman Langus to .b call for bids for equipment and repair building for the Walter E.Hall Park. Bid opening to be at 2:00 p.m.Sune 1971. Unanimously Carried. BID CALL MtMed7by Councilamn Gebert,seconded by Councilman Langus to call for bids for street improvement on Colby Avenue between 19t,6 10th.Streets. BID CALL Moved by Councilman Dobler,seconded by Councilman Michelson to call for bids for the Concessionaire for food service at Forest Park,Silverlake Park and Walter E.Hall Golf Clubhouse. : Bids to be received until 2:00 p.m.June 10,1971, Unanimously Carried.
