`En 77 June 30,1E71 Councilman Michelson said he was very much In oppositiOn to deleting Federal Avenue. He ably and felt it was much in need of repair and should be used as an arterial street because of the number of cars d he used this street using it going to the core of the City from the outskirts. The motion to delete Yedcral Avenue was carried. Councilman Traffic et proposition and Mr.Haglund said that aS Traffic Advisory Committee felt this was a residential street. However,Mr.Haglund said he felt that it was being used as a collector street so at should be added to the arterial street program. Councilman Dobler said as far as Nassau was concerned he thought there was a serious question to be considered. There was a hospital on this street which needed access,no question about . that, Nassau Street definitely needed improvement. There was A no question about that either,but he had attended the Traffic Advisory Committee Meeting and felt that the Committee did of want to see street where chi course of action available to the City.
