WHEREAS,the City of Everett obtains its entire-water supply 4 :at2Irly4ob,eZon,domestic and industrial consumption from the # Envir=1.ItZt2tIo:76e:!; bY WHEREAS,there is a blue clay slide in Williamon Creek which is a tributary of the Sultan River,which contributes to high turbidity,and - have!st'Z'S Et4',Irnne'l=1Zt: 'i"a'' WHEREAS,the slido also threatens a County road,and WHEREAS,the COun is willing to perform the work to 4 re-channel Williamson Creek and share in the cost not to exceed 64,000, NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVERETT that the Mayor be authorized to sign an agreement with the County of Snohomish to perform the necessary work to re- channelize Williamson Creek. WHEREAS,the City of Everett has sufficient potable water available for resale to other large customers;and WHEREAS,the City of Snohomish has informed the official of the City of Everett that they desire to enter into negotiations for the purchase of domestic and Industrial water from the City of Everett,and WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Everett finds that . it is feasible for the City of Everett to sell to the City of Snohomish potable water without any substantial expenses to the City of Everett and that such sale of water would benefit the City of Everett.
