He said <br /> once the Mayor had acted on this item and refused to sign the contract,the <br /> Mayor Pro-Tem in the Mayor's absence could not take action On this item again. <br /> Councilman Rucker asked 84r.Hendricks if perhaps this was not a different <br /> situation than the Attorney Oenerbre oPinion referral aa Th. <br /> legislative body had directed the Pro-Tem officer to take action in this <br /> certain situation. Mr.Hendricks questioned whether he could give advice <br /> T.The CO.4.11 whan h.had alread9 given.dvice to the Mayor on this particu- <br /> lar problem. <br /> After considerable discussion roll was called on the motion to authorize the <br /> Mayor Pro-Tem to sign the contract with.1 Councilmen voting yes except <br /> Councilman Gipson who voted no and Councilman Rucker who abstained. <br /> Motion Carried <br /> Mr.Ingram,attorney for the sewer dietrict,requested a signed co.,ei.4e <br /> contract and the Council President requested a copy so that all signatures <br /> could be affixed to it.
