' era&therefore,be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Everett ' -• 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to make formal application to the • Department of Housing and Urban Development for funding assistance .. in accord with the Report and Recommendations of the Citizen Advisory •. Committee for the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 as • submitted to the City Council on February 26,1975,and as modified by the City Council on that date. .. 2. Any fund assistance so received in 1975 be used for the above projects, , however,no funds shall be expended for site acquisition for a senior ' citizens'center unless assurances have been rece.ed that matching . funds are avail.le to assist in the construction of such facility. At such time as the Council shall approve such assurance,the Mayor is authorized to begin implementation of these projects. . 3. This resolution becomes part of the formal application to the Depart- I . ment of Housing and Urban Development. • -i .
