These werr from Pennwalt Corporation <br /> of Tacoma and JOneS Chemical,Inc. Both bids were the same of 6145 a ton, <br /> but Jones Chemical had put in a charge for container deposit and dermrrage. <br /> Mr.Haglund said that although the basic bid for ton was the same,the <br /> pr....t BaPPliei(Rennwait ComPany)had never charged the City a container <br /> deposit or demurrage,and the service had been excellent. It was therefore <br /> nis recommendation that the contract be awarded to Pennwalt CoopOration. <br /> EP__102L.2 <br /> Moved by Councilman GipsOn,seconded by Councilman Michelson to concur in <br /> the recommendation and award the bid for supplying chlorine to Pennwalt <br /> Corporation. <br /> Roll was cal1ed with all Councilmen voting yeS exCept Councilmen A1dcroft, <br /> Ebert and Kinch who were excused. <br /> RESOLUTION Motion Carried <br /> Moved by Councilman Gipson,seconded by Councilman Michelson to adopt Reso- <br /> lution No.1052 as follows: <br /> Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Everett: <br /> That the payroll of the employees of the City of Everett as of July 25, <br /> 1975 and warrants issued August 0,1975 having been audited,be and the <br /> same is hereby approved and the proper office.are hereby authoiired <br /> and directed to charge warrants on the payroll fund in payment thereof. <br /> • <br />
