Moved by Councilman Langus,seconded by Councilman Ebert to conclude the public hearing and adopt Resolution No.1188 as follows: A RESOLUTION approving Everett's Six-Year Comprehensive Street Program for the period beginning January 1,1977. C I WHEREAS,a public hearing was held on the 28th day of July,1976,in II, the Council Chambers of the City of Everett,pursuant to notice,for the purpose of examining,discussing and approving and PrOViding for the adoption of a revised and extended Six-Year Comprehensive Street I I 3 Program for tIm City of Everett; NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE C/TY OF EVERETT that the Council does hereby adopt the Comprehensive Street Program for this ensuing six years as hereto attached and made a part of this resolution. sE/T FuRTNER REsoLVED that a copy of this resolution and Comprehen- I III sive Street Program,as adopted,he filed with the appropriate agencies 31 as provided by law. Roll was called with all councilmen voting yes. 1 I Motion Carried BID CALL(CB767-2351 .11 Dick Nabseth reviewed the cost as requested by the Council for sending out utility bills via the envelope method against the postcard method. /.11 He said with the return envelopes the citizens may now use several drop box locations in the banks and in city hall. There are also .111 collection agencies in several stores throughout the city. The card stock on hand would have to be changed and reordered which would cost approximately$1,300. Counting the labor costs of sorting mail that was not easily identifiable,he felt it umuld he considerably more expensive to use,ust a postcard method. He recommended calling for bids for the envelopes for the balance of the card stock in file and at the same time the City would continue to monitor the two processes, Councilman Aldcroft asked to be excused at this time. Moved by Councilman Ebert,seconded by Councilman Moore,to call for bids for utility billing envelopes. Bids to be received until 2,00 p.m. August 26,1976. Roll was called with all councilmen voting yes except Councilman Aldcroft who was excused. Motion Carried 1. CONTRACT WEECT/ATION(C0767-237) 11; Moved by Councilman Langus,seconded by Councilman Moore, to authorize 1 the Mayor to negotiate and sign a contract with the Public Transporta- It tion Benefit Area to provide routine servicing and light maintenance for their buses located in north Snohomish County.
