35B BUDGET HEARING,November 4,1976 The regular budget hearing of the Everett City Council was called to order at 7:00 p.m.,November 4,1976,Budget Chairman Ebert presiding. Upon roll call it was found that all councilmen were present except Councilman Aldcroft. FUND 101-PA.AND RECREATION Program 120-Park Maintenance Councilman Lang.Introduced the members of the Park Board who were in attendance at the meeting. Chuck Logan then presented a slide show of the park programs. He said they were asking for six additional positions this year,two laborers, two park rangers,one supervisor II and one additional recreation leader. 1 He said about$125,000 had been budgeted into salaries and wages for seasonal help which would be brought on board at staggered times of the year beginning about April 15th. In this way there would be approximate- ly six months of seasonal help but not all hired at the same time and terminated at the same time. - Moved by Councilman Gipson,seconded by Councilman Michelson,to add $12,000 to Program 120 for the purpose of three additional seasonal workers in the public parks maintenance section. Roll was called with all councilmen voting yes except Councilman Ald- , croft who was excused.
