In attendance at the meeting were myself,Coun- <br /> cilman Moore,Councilman luckett,and Councilman LangUs...Presenting <br /> the City;Commissioner Jim Shaffer representing the Port;and Commission- <br /> ers Hill,Haines,and Moa representing Snohomish County. In addition, <br /> various staff people from each of the jurisdictions were in attendance. <br /> y As we all know,outstanding cooperation between our three agencies and <br /> IAC,together with favorable bids on earlY Phases ef...et/n..9,,ha. <br /> J allowed the boat launch facility to partially open for operation. The <br /> initial response has been good. However,in line with the original <br /> : construction schedule,there are many things left to be completed before <br /> She full facility,as conceived in the original plans,is finished. /n <br /> a 6 by short time contracts will be awarded for Phase SIB which includes <br /> , hard surfacing of the access roads and a portion of the north parking <br /> area. It was for this phase that City Council budgeted approxiMatelY <br /> $6,000 in the 1933 budget as our share of this work. <br /> Funding for Phase//I is being sought from IAC,and it is thd Port's <br /> intention to submit a preliminary request for this money on April 1. <br /> Phase/II would allow for completion of the north parking area,the <br /> • <br /> provision of four additional boat launching ramps,preliminary con- <br /> struction on the park area,and various other minor improvements. <br /> . The total cost for Phase m is estimate to be$510,000 with each of <br /> the three oWners providing$82,500 as their share of the local match. <br /> We will not know until September what portion of this total request <br /> , will be approved by IAC,but we would know in time for the local <br /> funding to be considered in our 1978 budget.
