124 <br /> May 4,1977 <br /> On motion.e meeting reCessed to the council chambers. <br /> yhe regular meeting of the Everett City Council reconvened at 10:00 adn. <br /> in the council chambers,President Pro Tem duckett presiding. Upon roll <br /> call it was found that all councilmen were in attendance except Council- <br /> man Ebert who was excused,Councilman Langus who arrived at 10:20 and <br /> Mayor Anderson who was excused. <br /> minutes of the meeting held April 27,1977 were approved as printed. <br /> PROCLAMATIONS <br /> president Tuckett proclaimed the week of May 1-7,1977 as"Be Kind to <br /> Animals Week." He also proclaimed Municipal clerk's Week as May 9-15. <br /> RESOLUTION <br /> Moved by Councilman Aldcroft,seconded by Councilman Gipson to adopt , <br /> lution No.1279 as follows: <br /> WHEREAS,generations of AMericans in deep trouble and need have turned to <br /> the Salvation Armg fOr food,ClOthing,shelter,and spiritual help and have <br /> received it in generous measure,and <br /> WHEREAS,the City of Everett has been fortunate enough to have a unit of , <br /> the salvation Army as one of its community assets for a good mang Years, <br /> NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLyso By THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OP EVERETT <br /> thai this...it,'ioin others across our nation i,declaring May 9 <br /> P through 15,1977 to be . _ <br /> [ NATION.SALVATTON ARMY WEEK <br /> in Everett,and that all citizens join them in paying tribute,to,these <br /> dedicated individuals who have served us so long and so well,and who <br /> have more than earned the high esteem in which they are held. <br /> Roll was called with all councilmen voting yes except Councilmen Langus <br /> and Ebert who were excused. <br /> Motion Carried <br /> .SOLUTION <br /> Moved by Councilman Gipson,Seconded by Councilman Aldcroft to adopt, <br /> , Resolution 1280 as follows: <br /> A RESOLUTION declaring May 8-14,1977 to be noserr.weel,in Everett <br /> WHEREAS,having both General Hospital of Everett and Providence Hospital <br /> within the City of Everett provides the citizens of this community with <br /> an outstanding level of health care--a level which the two hospitals <br /> and their medical staffs are steadily and cooperatively working to make <br /> even better--and, <br />
