142 <br /> May 11,1977 <br /> I 1 <br /> RESOLUTION(C1377,14S) <br /> Moved by Councilman Michelson,seconded by Councilman Moore to adopt <br /> Resolution No.1297 as follows. <br /> A resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute a contract with Women's <br /> II" Survival Center of Snohomish County,and uthorizing payment from the <br /> Revenue Sharing EUnd of the CitY <br /> Whereas,the Human Resources Committee of the City Council has ascer- <br /> tained that the Everett program of the Women's Survival Center of <br /> Snohomish County is a proper function of the City of Everett,and <br /> Whereas,the Human Resources Committee has recommended funding of this <br /> program from June 1,1977 to May 31,1978, <br /> Now,therefore,be it resolved by the City Council of the City of <br /> I Everett that the Mayor be authorized to execute a contract with <br /> women's Survival Center of Snohomish County to provide its program <br /> in Everett from June 1,1977 to May 71,1978,and <br /> Be it further resolved that the Budget a Finance Director be authorized <br /> to make payment from invoices for expenses incurred during this period <br /> I II t. I for the above purpose,not to exceed$10,170.00,from the Revenue <br /> Sharing Fund of the City. <br /> Roll was called with all councilmen voting yes except Councilmen Ebert <br /> ARE Juckett who were excused. <br /> fp Motion Carried <br /> HEARING OF APPEALS PROM DECISION OF HUMS RESOURCES COMMITTEE <br /> President Aldcroft asked if anyone wished to appeal the decisiOn of the <br /> committee regarding their application for funds. <br /> I 'M <br /> CSIRA <br /> Colleen Christiansen,Director of CS/RA,told the council their organ, <br /> I, cation provided a service that is not being provided by any other source. <br /> She explained some of their activities and requested funds. <br /> The council took no action on her request. <br /> MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES,INC. <br /> Dr.John Lubach,Director of Mental Health Services,felt their budget, <br /> although substantial,was very limited in comparison to their relatiVe <br /> need. He said additional money was needed for adult out-patient care. <br /> particularly for the elderly. Doug Colberg of the Senior Services Out- <br /> reach Program and Mildred Tufte,Director of the Visiting Nurses Asso- <br /> ciation,supported the Mental Health Services request for funds. <br /> No action was taken by the council on this request. <br />
