253 <br /> August 24,1977 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Counoal was called to order 1 <br /> at 8130 a.m.In the Council Chambers of the Everett City 11411,Preso- <br /> dent Ebert presidong and all Councilmen in attendance except Council- <br /> man Iangus who was excused. <br /> NORTH BROADWAY STATUS REPORT <br /> President Ebert reported a request had been received to postpone the <br /> North Broadway Status Report for a week. , <br /> FIRE HYDRANT LOCATIONS <br /> 1 ,I=noertson,Fire Chief,said that in November of 1976,an ordinance <br /> b n adopted amending the former ordonance regarding fire hydrants <br /> and standpipes. This amendment changed the provision from 165 feet to <br /> 200 feet in any business or commercial area as to thc distance from a <br /> buildong that a fire hydrant would be installed. Ia also changed the <br /> length of area to 700 feet on residential area. He said the installa- <br /> tion of these fire hydrants was to be retroactive on the business area <br /> but not in residential areas.
