He said that Garfield was <br /> to be a neighborhood park with a Little League diamond,rwereation such <br /> as basketball,tennis,etc.,a small child area and an open space for <br /> general playing. <br /> The baseball diamond would be moved from Garfield to the Riverdale Park. <br /> At Riverdale there mould also be a small child area,horseshoe pits, <br /> tennis,volleyball,etc.plus a parking lot for the softball fields. <br /> Bob Haglund of the no.committee gave a brief summary on some of <br /> their meetiz.s and reported they had 215 signatures from residents in <br /> the area plus a women's softball league in favor of the proposed plan. <br /> Moved by Councilman Lang.,seCOnded by Councilman Moore to approve the <br /> Garfield/Riverdale Conceptual Master Plan as presented by the staff and <br /> citizens who developed it. <br /> Roll was called with all councilmen voting yes except Councilmen Ald- <br /> croft and Gipson who were excused. <br /> Motion Carried <br /> I f <br />
