Councilman Moore stated he felt the intersection was dangerous. Councilman Juckett spoke against the motion 9uoting from R.C.W.which 1111• states.the city,to.or county legislative body shall inquire'nto '1'61 the public use and interest proposed to be served by the establishment of the subdivision and dedication. /t shall determine if appropriate provisions are made for,but not limited to the public health,safety and general welfare,for open spaces,drainage ways,streets,alleys, . other public ways,water supplies,sanitary waste,parks,playgrOunds, sites for schools and schoolgrounds and shall consider all other rele- vant facts and determine thethe public interest will be served , by the subdivision and dedication. /f it finds that the proposed plat • • dOes not make such appropriate provisions or that the public use and m • interest will not be served,then the legislative body may disprove the proposed plat.. He felt the developer was taking care of the drain- age problem nd aof the unsafe intersection at Bayview Lane. The request for additionaal ccess on Mukilteo Boulevard is against the policy of the Traffic Engineering Department of the city. Motion carried BSCOG SUBREGION.COMM/TTEE REPORT Mayor John Enbom of Mountlake Terrace gave a brief overview of the sub- regional committee of the Puget sound Council of Coverments. He urged the tiltcouno appoint someone to take the former Mayor's place on the board.
