- . <br /> 30 <br /> • <br /> January 18,1978 <br /> BID CALL(C13781-12) <br /> Moved by Councilman Pope,seconded by Councilmen Michelson to call for bid <br /> for the construction of the parking lot on the Baskell Building site. <br /> Bids to be received until 2:00 p.m.,February 7,1978. <br /> Roll was called with all councilmen voting yes except Councilmen Aldcroft <br /> and Overstreet who were excused. <br /> Motion Carried <br /> RESOLUTION(CB781-13) <br /> moved by Councilman Michelson,seconded by Councilman Baker to adopt Reso- <br /> lution No.1403 as follows: <br /> A resolution authorizing the City of Everett to enter into an agreement <br /> with Everett School District 42 allowing the School District the use of <br /> Forest Park SW10 Center. <br /> Whereas,the City of Everxtt has the Forest Park Swim Center;and <br /> Whereas,Everett School District 42 desires to use such swim facility for <br /> the purpose of providing free swimming instruction for its fourth grade <br /> students who desire to participate in this voluntary program:and <br /> !=e2t,g,t,h,:17 swimming program is to be provided for the students at no <br /> • Now,therefore,be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Everett <br /> that the Mayor be authorized to execute an agreement with Everett School <br /> District#2 whereby the City agrees to provide the swimming facility along <br /> with the attendant overhead and adminietrative costs and the School <br /> , trict agrees to provide free bus transportation,to PaY for the swiX ih- <br /> structors,and to hold City and Swim Center harmless from NOV damage/in- <br /> • jury proximately caused by School DiStriCt'S 116,0f Swim Center. <br /> Roll was called with all councilmen voting yes except Councilmen Aldcroft <br /> SIN t 100 05CR 157 <br /> and Overstreet who were excused. <br /> PROPOSED RESOLUTION(01781-14) <br /> Lloyd Henning said thia was a resolution authorizing certain vacated unim- <br /> proved streets and alleys in the plat of Queen Anne Addition he posted- <br /> to all official records. He said on March 27,1974 at the request Of.an <br /> auttiog property owner,the city council had passed a resolution direct- <br /> ing that a poftion of the unopened streets and alleys in Ne plat of <br /> P Queen Anne Addition that were vacated by operation of Washington State <br /> , Laws of 1889-18901m posted te official COuntY and hitY hwcorde. Chrhxht-' <br /> V.. ly the adjacent area of vacated streets and alleys zn blocks 11,12 and 13 <br />, , are being preliminarilY assessed for a proposed water and sewer LID. The <br /> property owners in the LID have requestedjclarification of the status of <br /> , the vacated streets and alleys. He said this resolution will direct the <br /> , gl:v.county to post the vacated streets and alleys to their official <br /> Dave Brandvold,a property owner in thit area,objected to the proposed <br /> resolution and requested that more study be made prior to adopting it. <br /> Councilman Baker suggested there was no proof these streets had never <br /> been opened during the period of the law and felt no action should be <br /> taken on this. <br />
