Whereas,the City Council of the City of Everett is committed to the pro- • vision of subsidized housing for lower income residents of the City,and 4,57,:rImrtn:zm!sf=frettya:acritical need to provide new construction Whereas,vacant land which is appropria.for subsidized family housing is very scarce:and Whereas,the 1978 Housing Assistance Plan discourages the construction of • • subsidized housing for families in seven Census Tracts of the City,there- . by limiting the City's options-on...re subsidized housing onn be con- • structe,and • Whereas,the Citizen's Advisory Committee for Housing and Community Development held a public hearing on November 29,1978,and received citizen input on proposed changes in the recommended locations for newly constructed subsidized housing for families,and Whereas,the following motion was made and passed by the Citizen's Advi- . so,Committee: "The Citizen's Advisory Committee for Housi,and Community Development recommends that Everett's Housing Assistance Plan recom- mendatibni for the location of newly constructed subnidized housing for families be•amended to show the following: Census Tracts 410,411,412,413,414.,and 418 as tracts where the new construction of subsidized housing for families is "encouraged"and the remaining 13 census tracts of the City as tracts to be 9evaluated on a case-by-case basis..
